I bring Creativity, Purpose & Passion to everything I do

Marketing & Creative

For more than 25 years, I’ve been immersed in the art of communication—bringing brands to life through thoughtful design and purposeful storytelling. As the founder of The Fancourt Group, We have partnered with clients across North America to craft campaigns that are not only beautiful, but strategic—spanning email, print, signage, and digital experiences.

Design is how I connect—visually, emotionally, and meaningfully.

House Design

Architectural design has been a lifelong passion. Since childhood, I’ve drawn hundreds of floorplans—imagining dream homes long before I ever built one. In 2011, I designed my first custom residence and have since completed several others, including our current home, Summerfell, and a beautiful waterfront retreat in Powell River.

What I love most is creating spaces that feel both beautiful and meaningful—where the architecture tells a story and invites connection.

Piano & Composition

My journey with the piano began at age 8, thanks to my parents’ encouragement—a decision I’m forever grateful for. As a teenager, I played regularly at church, honing my skills and sharing the joy of music. At 19, I landed a dream job performing in the Ansett Airlines First Class Lounge, balancing music with university life.

Over the years, I’ve performed at countless weddings—often composing original pieces for bridal processions—and even at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. A talent discovery concert early on earned me runner-up and 20 hours in a professional studio, fueling my passion for composition.

Music has remained a constant. In 2019, I wrote a special piece for my wedding, and with the completion of Summerfell, I fulfilled a lifelong dream: owning a grand piano—a symbol of creativity and enduring passion.

Philanthropy

From an early age, I discovered the joy of giving back—playing piano and singing in care homes to brighten the lives of residents. As a teenager, my sense of purpose deepened through outreach with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), serving communities across Australia and New Zealand. One unforgettable project involved partnering with young offenders in New Zealand to build a kindergarten on Maori land—a powerful experience of healing and hope.

In later years, my passion for service continued through Habitat for Humanity. I helped build a home in Honduras for a family of six living in a single room, and in Trinidad & Tobago, worked alongside a blind man to construct his first independent home—an experience that remains close to my heart. Even our wedding became an act of giving, with guests invited to donate to Habitat in lieu of gifts. Though COVID delayed our follow-up trip, Kane and I remain committed to another Habitat build in Central America.

Closer to home, I serve with Rotary Vancouver Waterfront, contributing to community programs like meal preparation with Whole Way House. I also support causes close to my heart—my local church, World Vision, and international Christian organizations. Giving, to me, is as essential as receiving. It’s a way to honour the blessings in my life by helping build lives, homes, and hope for others.
